De mensen achter phpMyAdmin hebben de tweede release candidate van versie 2.5.6 uitgebracht. Deze berg van PHP-scripts stelt je in staat om een MySQL-database al dan niet op afstand te onderhouden. Zoals gewoonlijk is een nieuwe release in drie verschillende smaken te downloaden. Het eerste pakket is bedoeld voor het Windows-platform en kan vanaf hier neergehaald worden. Voor Linux-systemen zijn zowel een tarball als bzip2 beschikbaar. Het changelog van 2.5.6-rc2 ziet er als volgt uit:
