Software-update: phpMyAdmin 3.4.0

Versie 3.4.0 van phpMyAdmin is verschenen. Met behulp van dit in php geschreven databasemanagementprogramma is het mogelijk om een MySQL-database via een webinterface te beheren. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om query's op de database los te laten. De software is in een groot aantal talen vertaald, waaronder het Nederlands. In versie 3.4.0 wordt onder andere meer gebruikgemaakt van ajax, kunnen gebruikers voorkeurinstellingen opgeven en is het eenvoudiger om data te in- en exporteren. misschien moet je 't expliciet aanzetten in de config, en leunt 't op de pma tables zoals sommige andere functionaliteit ook doet. Het staat wel in de officieele releasenotes, dus 't zal er vast ergens in zitten. (ik zal straks even downloaden en instaleren, kijken waar 't zit)

Ik had de config van 3.3.10 gekopieerd naar 3.4.0, dat bleek niet zo'n goed idee te zijn Nieuwe config gepakt en hij doet het weer prima.

wat moet ik hier onder verstaan.
Relatie's leggen binnen PHPmyadmin of echt MySQL ?

Vermoedelijk kan je een visueel schema maken van de tabellen en hun relaties, en dat dan vervolgens exporteren in verschillende formaten (JPEG, PDF etc.)

Leuk! Dankzij de Ajaxificatie (net vloeken in de kerk als Twentefan) werkt het nog fijner!

Dat nieuwe interface mag ik wel. Lekker fris. Ben het eens met Bernardo prachtig programma. Ik vind het fijn programma om ermee te werken.

Als je een database opent. Dan zie je staan: 'Query opbouwen' als je daar op klikt dan zie je op die pagina. Een balk met een melding/link: 'Overschakelen naar visuele query opbouwer' Daar zit dat dus.

Zo op het eerste gezicht vind ik het een hele verbetering en ziet het er allemaal netjes uit.

Alleen vind ik sommige pagina's wel onoverzichtelijk overkomen.
Maar dat is misschien ook wennen aan de nieuwe style.

Heb even met de demo gespeeld en merkte toch dat er een aantal bugs nog erin zitten.

BV: bij de Visual query builder.
Als je een query laat opbouwen en vraagt om een ORDER BY zet hij achter het veld een ,

NIeuwe layout is mij persoonlijk een beetje te grof. Alles is groot, en de QUERY builder (vroeger SQL) is niet iets om vrolijk van te worden. Zal wel gewenning zijn.

Gelukkig kun je gewoon de oude stijl aanzetten

Hier geïnstalleerd op XAMPP en getest met Firefox, Safari en Chrome en met alle browser het zelfde resultaat... bugs

Wat een slecht uitgewerkte versie is dit!
