Op Kernel.org is een nieuwe Linux Kernel gesignaleerd. Ditmaal betreft het een nieuwe stable build van de 2.0 branch. De vorige versie 2.0.39 dateert van 9 januari 2001. De release notes zien er als volgt uit:
