Software-update: Anjuta 1.2.0

Anjuta is een veelzijdige Integrated Development Environment, of in het kort IDE, voor de programmeer talen C en C++. Het programma wordt speciaal ontwikkeld voor een GTK/GNOME omgeving en bevat onder andere de volgende mogelijkheden: project management, application wizards, interactive debugger en een powerfull source editor met browsing en syntax highlighting.

Het ontwikkelteam van Anjuta heeft pas geleden versie 1.2.0 vrijgegeven. De release notes melden ons voornamelijk een aantal bugfixes en zien er dan ook als volgt uit:

Finally, after a long wait, bug squashing sessions and series of release candidates, stable Anjuta version 1.2.0 is released! Like all .0 releases, it is at about 99% stability (with some minority bugs accounting to the missing 1% ).

There are source .tar.gz, Red Hat Linux 9.0 binary, source and documentation packages available at the download page. Other distribution specific binary packages are likely to be released by other vendors. Binaries should install fine in RedHat 9 or similar systems without further dependencies.

Wat bedoel je nou prutsers ? C / C++ is gewoon een programmeer taal, net zoals VB / Delphi / Java, aan alles zit een leer curve, bij C is die iets stijler dan bij VB. Kwestie van gewoon doen, en veel doen, programmeren is net als het spreken van een buitenlandse taal, je leert het pas echt als je het gaat gebruiken, en veel gaat gebruiken. Het maakt dan niet uit of je nu VB of Java of C doet, net zo min of je nu Duits, Frans of Arabisch wil leren spreken, het is gewoon een kwestie van doen.

Anjuta is een mooi programma. Alleen een aantal functies doen het niet. Bijvoorbeeld een wxWindows project aanmaken faalt jammerlijk. Dat hebben ze nog steeds niet gefixed...

Het is nog geen volwassen product, maar in potentie een heel bruikbaar programma.

Euh? Dan denk ik dat anjuta nu net iets is wat je niet wilt. Beter eens gambas of hbasic proberen dan.
