De zoekmachine Google heeft betaversie 0.5.67 uitgebracht van Deskbar. Dit programma nestelt zich in de taakbalk van Windows 98/Me/2k/XP en laat de search results zien die ingevoerd zijn in het textveld. Daarnaast kan er gezoch worden in de Google Groups en het prentenarchief. Een changelog van deze versie is helaas nergens te bekennen, wel een korte lijst met features:
