Op de website van Popcorn is beta 8 van versie 1.55 te downloaden. De mailclient kan elektronische brieven ophalen en versturen met behulp van de POP- en SMTP-protocollen. In deze versie zijn de volgende veranderingen doorgevoerd ten opzichte van beta 5:
What is new in Popcorn release 1.55 beta 8?[break]Popcorn is in de freeware-variant gelimiteerd tot het gebruik van één account. Na het registreren schakelt het progsel automatisch om naar registered-mode en kunnen meerdere accounts gebruikt worden.
- New features:
- Double clicking on an account/profile in the All Profiless window will now only download new headers from the server. To download the latest n headers (as defined in the User Profile manager), you have to press Shift + double click. To reverse this behaviour, set the "AllProfilesShiftNew" variable to TRUE (default value is FALSE).
- You can now change the active account/profile in the All Profiles window without downloading any headers by pressing Ctrl or Alt and then double clicking on an account.
- Bug-fixes:
- Fixed a bug that could cause Popcorn to crash in rare instances when viewing a mail item containing a certain type of header.
- Popcorn sent a wrongly formatted HELO and EHLO command to SMTP servers which caused one type of server to not accept a message for delivery.
