Het mailprogramma The Bat! is aangekomen bij versie 1.62q. In deze release zijn enkele kleine bugs opgelost, maar ook een kleine tweak in het programma zelf. De makers hebben de volgende veranderingen aangebracht:
Windows Script File (*.WSF) is added to the list "Disable opening of these files" on a newly-installed copy of The Bat! Message-ID was generated improperly SMTP authentication took place before STARTTLS Encoded file names weren't "quoted" in MIME sections The Bat! didn't gracefully handle "CertificateRequest" packet on TLS and didn't connect on TLS with some servers The Bat! didn't handle zero-length packets on TLS. This did prevent from connecting with WEB.DE
