Versie 12.3.1 van de e-mailclient The Bat! is uitgekomen. Het programma heeft alles wat je van een e-mailclient mag verwachten, zoals het automatisch kunnen sorteren, beantwoorden of doorsturen van e-mail en het met vertraging kunnen versturen van e-mails. Er zijn diverse e-mailthema's, waarbij ook van macro's gebruikgemaakt kan worden. In deze uitgave zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:
The Bat! v12.3.1 Introduces TLS 1.3 Support and Enhanced SecurityWe have released a new version of The Bat! with enhanced security, improved certificate management, and a range of fixes aimed at making everyday email handling more reliable and convenient.
A key new feature in The Bat! v12.3.1 is TLS 1.3 support, further strengthening secure communication between The Bat! and mail servers. The update also introduces a new certificate caching system: certificates presented by TLS and HTTPS servers are now stored locally together with the endpoints where they were presented. New options in the TLS section of S/MIME and TLS preferences allow users to manage the cache, including its location, retention period and size. Account logs now offer an option to view the complete certificate chain provided by a server.
Alongside these additions, the new version addresses issues affecting stability and usability. Fixes include problems with Microsoft OAuth authentication loops, calendar invitations and event handling, message rendering and threading, PDF-to-HTML conversion, and screen-reader accessibility. File opening behavior has also been improved, allowing read-only files and files stored on write-protected media to be opened without unnecessary restrictions.
