FileZilla heeft een nieuwe versie van zijn gelijknamige opensource-ftp-client uitgebracht, een bèta ditmaal. FileZilla is klein, simpel en toch compleet. Het programma is populair vanwege de geringe belasting van de systeembronnen. Een veelgehoorde klacht is echter dat wachtwoorden onversleuteld op de computer worden opgeslagen. FileZilla is beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux en OS X, en kan vanaf deze pagina in verschillende uitvoeringen worden gedownload.
Wees voorzichtig met de standaard 'aanbevolen' download, want dat is een Download Manager van SourceForge, die voordat hij het echte installatiebestand ophaalt eerst enkele optionele aanbiedingen doet. Op de more download options-pagina staan wel schone installatiebestanden en ook deze bèta is schoon. In versie 3.12.0 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

- *nix: Make waitable conditions immune to wallclock changes if the system supports both clock_gettime and pthread_condattr_setclock
- Fixed a rare crash when queuing many socket threads for deletion at the same time
