Na vijftien bètareleases is nu eindelijk de eerste release-candidate van NewsBin Pro versie 6.60 verschenen. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden, zoals foto's, video's en programma's, van usenet worden gehaald. Het heeft alles wat je van een usenet-downloader mag verwachten, zoals ondersteuning voor multithreading, ssl en autopar. Verder zijn er uitgebreide filtermogelijkheden en kan er van een optionele Usenet-search-service gebruikgemaakt worden. De changelog van deze uitgave ziet er als volgt uit:

Known issues:
- Fixed issue where Ctrl-R was leaving posts checked after they download.
- Fixed issue where periodic counts weren't cumulative.
- Fixed issue where Red SPAM files from search show downloaded.
- Fixed issue with Download to Folder option from wish list.
- Removed the $(SEARCH) path variable from the options. It wasn't working anyways.
- Fixed issue where post size wasn't getting updated in the post list if new headers for an existing post came in.
- Disabling unrar in the watch lists doesn't work
