Verleden week was er door de afwezigheid van ontwikkelaar Kovid Goyal voor het eerst in lange tijd geen nieuwe uitgave, maar deze vrijdag is het weer gewoon raak. Calibre is een opensource- en crossplatform-e-bookbeheerprogramma. Het kan onder andere alle relevante informatie en kaftafbeeldingen opzoeken en e-boeken converteren om ze geschikt te maken voor de diverse soorten e-readers. Verder kan het kranten, tijdschriften en nieuwsartikelen op basis van rss-feeds omzetten in e-bookformaat, en kunnen er boeken worden aangeschaft bij de bekende webwinkels. In versie 1.6 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

- Temporary marking of books in the library
This allows you to select books from your calibre library manually and mark them. This 'mark' will remain until you restart calibre, or clear the marks. You can easily work with only the marked subset of books by right clicking the Mark Books button.
