Mede8er heeft een update uitgebracht voor versie 3.0.0 van de firmware voor de MED600X3D, MED800X3D en MED1000X3D mediaspelers. Deze apparaten zijn uitgerust met een Realtek 1186-mediaprocessor, wat onder meer betekent dat ze geschikt zijn om 3d-materiaal af te spelen. Versie 3.0.0 heeft net als versie 2.0.0 een aparte bootloader nodig, instructies daarvoor kunnen hier worden gevonden. Nieuw in versie 3.0.0 is onder meer een nieuwe app voor het ophalen van informatie over films en tv-series. Ook kan ondertiteling eenvoudig worden gedownload en is er een html5-webbrowser. Versie 3.0.1 bevat voornamelijk bugfixes.
