Ook deze vrijdag staat er weer een nieuwe versie van Calibre voor je klaar. Calibre is een opensource- en crossplatform-e-book-beheerprogramma. Het kan onder andere e-boeken van en naar readers kopiëren en ze converteren om ze geschikt te maken voor de diverse soorten e-readers. Verder kan het kranten, tijdschriften en nieuwsartikelen op basis van rss-feeds omzetten naar e-bookformaat, en kunnen er boeken worden aangeschaft bij de bekende webwinkels. Hieronder is te vinden welke veranderingen en verbeteringen er deze week zijn aangebracht.

Calibre now has a new PDF output engine that supports links in the text. It also fixes various bugs, detailed below. In order to implement support for links and fix these bugs, the engine had to be completely rewritten, so there may be some regressions.- Show disabled device plugins in Preferences->Ignored Devices
- Get Books: Fix Smashwords, Google books and B&N stores. Add Nook UK store
- Allow series numbers lower than -100 for custom series columns.
- Add mass storage driver for rockhip based android smart phones
- Add a clear ratings button to the edit metadata dialog

- HTML Input: Handle entities inside href attributes when following the links in an HTML file.
- Content server: Fix custom icons not used for sub categories
- Force use of non-unicode constants in compiled templates. Fixes a problem with regular expression character classes and probably other things.
- Kobo driver: Do not error out if there are invalid dates in the device database
- Content server: Fix for non-unicode hostnames when using mDNS
