Software-update: EasyBCD 2.2

NeoSmart Technologies heeft versie 2.2 van EasyBCD uitgebracht. EasyBCD is een programma waarmee de boot configuration data, ofwel de bootloader, kan worden aangepast. Zo kan het onder andere worden gebruikt om een multiboot-set-up te maken om zo tijdens het starten van de pc te kunnen kiezen uit verschillende versies van Windows, of Windows in combinatie met Linux, BSD of Mac OS X. Ook in een single-boot-opstelling is het programma bruikbaar. Het kan namelijk ook worden gebruikt om instellingen van de BCD te wijzigen of om een backup te maken.

Vanaf versie 2.1 wordt van bedrijven en non-profit organisaties verwacht dat zij een licentie afnemen, maar in een privéomgeving is het nog wel gratis. Versie 2.2 voegt onder meer ondersteuning toe voor Windows 8 en efi. Bovendien is het programma meertalig geworden, maar de Nederlandse vertaling zit er nog niet in. De 2.2 installer installeert doodleuk 2.1.2. foutje bedankt?
update: netjes via de website (http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/) downloaden geeft wel de 2.2 versie.
