NeoSmart Technologies heeft versie 2.1 van EasyBCD uitgebracht. EasyBCD is een programma waarmee de boot configuration data, ofwel de bootloader, kan worden aangepast. Zo kan het onder andere worden gebruikt om een multiboot-set-up te maken om zo tijdens het starten van de pc te kunnen kiezen uit verschillende versies van Windows, of Windows in combinatie met Linux, BSD of Mac OS X. Ook in een single-boot-opstelling is het programma bruikbaar. Het kan namelijk ook worden gebruikt om instellingen van de BCD te wijzigen of om een backup te maken. Vanaf versie 2.1 is het programma niet meer gratis in een commerciële omgeving te gebruiken. Hieronder is het changelog voor deze release te vinden.

- EasyBCD setup detects missing or out-of-date .NET 2.0 pre-requirement, and automatically installs.
- New options to boot from hard disk or floppy images. No longer just VHDs, raw disk images now work too!
- Much-improved BCD parsing methodology that works even when bcdedit doesn't!
- Intelligent external BCD handling. Automatically determines drive settings, and warns if entries aren't portable as created.
- Added a "No Timeout" option of the boot menu, wherein the selection screen will hang until a selection is made.
- As usual, EasyBCD now features improved and more-resilient support for even more Linux configurations.
