Software-update: NewsBin Pro 6.40 build 2035 RC 2

De tweede release candidate van versie 6.40 van NewsBin Pro is beschikbaar gekomen. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden - zoals foto's, films en programma's - van usenet worden gehaald. Nieuw in versie 6.40 is onder andere dat nzb-bestanden die in een specifieke folder worden geplaatst, automatisch worden opgepakt. Verder zijn er verbeteringen in de autopar-functie aangebracht. Het changelog van deze release is hieronder te vinden.

• Fixed issue where the duplicate detection system wasn't catching file sets without PAR files.
• Exit prompt and auto-shutdown could collide. Made change so if auto-shutdown is enabled, it'll override the exit prompt.
• Fixed issue where a "$" appearing at the beginning of a path was causing the path to fail to work.
• The "Queued" status message is working again in the post list.
• Post list status messages now translatable in language.dll
• Change ID3 dropdown to use string table instead of pre-setting the values in resources. Now can be translated.
• Group names weren't being translated to unicode for tab title for "Search in groups".
• Removed watch list from view and "move data folder on restart". Maybe for next version.
• Connection errors like timeouts no longer sets the block to red (failed). It now just retries on the same server.
• On a default install, the column widths were way too narrow. - Now uses 4/5ths of the screen.
• Fixed issue where typing in a group name in the search tab "search in" then wild carding ("*") wasn't working.
• Fixed issue where Search in Groups wasn't obeying the groups listing.
• Fixed issue where repairing something with umlauts in the name resulted in mis-named files.
• Fixed issue where Filter profiles weren't getting re-read with each search. Changes to the filters are now reflected in the search results.

De NZB Autoload-folder werkt ook in deze versie nog niet, dus je zal de NZB's handmatig moeten toevoegen (of Newsbin Pro openen d.m.v. dubbelklik op de NZB).

Issues:

• 6.40 Beta does not have languages other than English built for it yet.
• The 64 bit version is showing a ZLib Compression error in the Logging tab. Will be addressed soon.
• Old NZB Watch folders will get translated to the new pathing scheme one time. Only the primary gets translated.
• NZB Autoload Folder setting with an edit button for use with pathing is a placeholder, not hooked up yet.
• New "Move Data Folder on Restart" option is not hooked up yet.
• New "+" icon on Search tab for requesting more search results switches to old icon when you load a post list.
• Disable AutoPAR in NZB Autoload Folder Properties doesn't work yet
• Drag and Drop to order the Groups list in the Groups tab is not hooked up, nor can you column sort the groups.
• There have been reports that Newsbin isn't saving the correct renamed files to descript.ion file.
• Newsbin renames the file on disk and then lands the file. Without re-writing the descript.ion, there's no way to fix this.
• Decreasing number of server connections requires a restart.
• Works on Windows XP and newer.
• Crosspost filters in the Add Groups dialog are not hooked up.
• SMTP Authentication for email notification is not hooked up.
