Software-update: Nagios Core 3.4.0

Met het programma Nagios Core kun je verschillende onderdelen van het netwerk en de services op je servers in de gaten houden. Het programma kan onder andere smtp-, pop3-, http- en nntp-services, en resources zoals de processorload en diskgebruik controleren. Wanneer er iets gebeurt waarvan je op de hoogte gehouden wilt worden, kun je per mail of op je pager notificaties ontvangen. De ontwikkelaars hebben met 3.4.0 als versienummer een nieuwe versie van Nagios Core uitgebracht. De aankondiging en lijst met veranderingen zien er als volgt uit:

Nagios Core 3.4.0 Released

Nagios Core 3.4.0 was just released and can be grabbed from the downloads page. The Changelog can be found here. Thanks to Eric Stanley, Mike Guthrie, and other contributors that helped with this release!

• Added code to apply allow_empty_hostgroup_assignment flag to host and service dependencies (Daniel Wittenberg)
• Users can now see hostgroups and servicegroups that contain at least one host or service they are authorized for, instead of having to be authorized for them all (Ethan Galstad)
• RSS feed boxes fallback if an error occurs (Ethan Galstad)
• RSS feeds no longer block main page load (Mike Guthrie)
