Na acht release candidates is nu eindelijk de final release van NewsBin Pro versie 6.31 verschenen. NewsBin Pro is bedoeld om bestanden, zoals foto's, films en programma's, van usenet te halen. Deze bestanden kunnen in losse pakketjes van een of meer nieuwsservers worden gedownload en worden aan de ontvangende kant weer in elkaar gezet. Sinds versie 6.00 maakt de interface gebruik van tabs en is er een cache-to-memory-optie die, als een machine over voldoende geheugen beschikt, de constante toegang tot de harde schijf vermindert. De belangrijkste verbeteringen die sinds versie 6.30 zijn aangebracht staan hieronder.

- Fixed issue with partial downloads not being remembered across restarts.
- Fixed bug where purging a group was not resetting the new record count.
- Made changes to better handle standalone PAR files that are not grouped with RAR sets.
- Two options for AutoPAR processing. "Aggressive Assembly Mode" that starts the repair and unrar process as soon as there are enough par blocks and "Disable Automatic PAR Unpausing" can be set so all PAR files download all the time. For clean installs, Aggressive Mode will be on and pausing of PARS will be disabled. Upgrades retain current settings. The options are in the AutoPAR Options under the Options menu.
