Er is een nieuwe bètarelease van NewsBin Pro uitgekomen. NewsBin Pro is bedoeld om bestanden, zoals foto's, films en programma's, van usenet te halen. Deze bestanden kunnen in losse pakketjes van een of meer nieuwsservers worden gedownload en worden aan de ontvangende kant weer in elkaar gezet. Sinds versie 6.00 maakt de interface gebruik van tabs en is er een cache-to-memory-optie die, als een machine over voldoende geheugen beschikt, de constante toegang tot de harde schijf vermindert. In de tweede release candidate is een probleem met incomplete downloads verholpen.

- New Record count in Groups tab does not get reset if you purge headers for the group. Resets the next time you load the group.
- Drag and Drop to order the Groups list in the Groups tab is not hooked up, nor can you column sort the groups.
- There have been reports that Newsbin isn't saving the correct renamed files to descript.ion file.
- Newsbin renames the file on disk and then lands the file. Without re-writing the descript.ion, there's no way to fix this.
- Decreasing number of server connections requires a restart.
- Works on Windows XP and newer.
- Crosspost filters in the Add Groups dialog are not hooked up.
- SMTP Authentication for email notification is not hooked up.
