CDBurnerXP is bijgewerkt naar versie 4.4.0 build 2968. Met dit programma kunnen cd's, dvd's, hd-dvd's en blu-ray-schijfjes worden beschreven. Daarnaast kunnen iso-bestanden worden gemaakt en gebrand. De software is gratis voor zowel privé- als commercieel gebruik, is geschikt voor Windows 2000 en hoger, en is te gebruiken in een groot aantal talen, waaronder het Nederlands. De download is 5MB groot, maar het programma heeft wel het .Net Framework nodig om zijn werk te kunnen doen. CDBurnerXP bevat adware; downloads zonder deze OpenCandy worden pas op een later tijdstip aangeboden. Het changelog voor deze release ziet er als volgt uit:
