Kort na het het uitkomen van de final release van NewsBin Pro versie 6.21 is de eerste bètarelease van de opvolger alweer beschikbaar gekomen. NewsBin Pro is bedoeld om bestanden, zoals foto's, films en programma's, van usenet te halen. Deze bestanden kunnen in losse pakketjes van een of meer nieuwsservers worden gedownload en worden aan de ontvangende kant weer in elkaar gezet. Sinds versie 6.00 maakt de interface gebruik van tabs en is er een cache-to-memory-optie die, als een machine over voldoende geheugen beschikt, de constante toegang tot de harde schijf vermindert. Sinds versie 6.21 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:

- New column in Groups tab called "New Records" lists number of new posts since the last load.

- Fixed a timing problem where good files could get deleted from disk under heavy load
- Fixed issue handling duplicate files in RAR archives
- Spam filters can now be bypassed using ctrl-y (Add to Download List - Bypass Filters)
- Groups list now shows new file sets since last load in the "New Records" column.
- Now allows sorting and expanding files while a load or long search is happening.
- Fixed issue where performing a local search remotely defaulted to using the "From" field.
- Fixed logging issue when remote end disconnects from Newsbin.
- Load Older and Load Newer functions were not updating the display.
- Fixed sorting issue when using AutoPAR properties.
- Fixed issue where ID3 path wasn't getting used if Unrar to different folder was selected in AutoPAR.
