Mozilla Foundation heeft de eerste bètarelease van Thunderbird versie 9.0 uitgebracht. Mozilla Thunderbird is een opensourceclient voor mail en nieuwsgroepen, met features zoals ondersteuning voor verschillende mail- en newsaccounts, een junkmailfilter, spellingscontrole en een aanpasbaar uiterlijk. In versie 9 treffen we onder andere de mogelijkheid aan om je aan te melden om prestatie-informatie aan Mozilla door te geven, zodat het programma nog beter kan worden gemaakt, en er zijn natuurlijk weer een hoop bugfixes doorgevoerd. - Added an opt-in system for users to send performance data back to Mozilla to improve future versions of Thunderbird
- Better keyboard handling for attachments
- Windows users can hide the menu bar (and show it with the "alt" key)
