Er is weer een nieuwe versie van Calibre uitgekomen. Calibre is een crossplatform- en opensource-e-book-managementprogramma, dat met een groot aantal soorten e-books en e-readers overweg kan. Het maakt het onder andere mogelijk om e-books te converteren tussen de diverse bestandsformaten om ze zo beschikbaar te maken voor alle platforms. Verder kan het ook nieuwsartikelen op basis van rss omzetten naar e-bookformaat en is er een viewer waarmee e-books op de computer kunnen worden gelezen. In versie 0.8.17 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:
