Er is een nieuwe versie van PS3 Media Server uitgekomen. Dit programma is een in Java geschreven dlna-compliant UPnP Media Server voor Sony's PlayStation 3. PS3 Media Server is beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux en Mac OS X, en maakt het mogelijk om audio en video naar de PS3 te streamen. Meer informatie over de mogelijkheden van dit programma is te vinden op deze pagina, die ook enkele screenshots toont. Het belangrijkste nieuws in deze release is dat het team eindelijk iemand gevonden heeft die de Mac OS X-versie kan compileren.
