De BitTorrent-client BitComet heeft ondersteuning voor dht, het downloaden van torrents zonder tracker en het alvast kunnen bekijken van een deel van een film als die nog niet volledig gedownload is. Ook is het mogelijk om zelf een torrent aan te maken en te seeden. Daarnaast kunnen bepaalde ip-adressen worden geweerd en kan er met andere BitComet-gebruikers worden gechat. Maandag is versie 1.19 van BitComet uitgekomen en hieronder is te vinden wat er in deze release allemaal veranderd is:

- Support BitTorrent Extension Protocol of peer exchange, compatible with BitTorrent mainline
- New eMule plugin (based on Xtreme 7.2 mod)
- After removing tasks without removing files, the Long-Time Seeding for these files won't stop immediately
- After disable LT Seeding in option dialog, running tasks won't stop downloading from Long-Time Seeding immediately
