De BitTorrent-client BitComet heeft ondersteuning voor dht, het downloaden van torrents zonder tracker en het alvast kunnen bekijken van een deel van een film als die nog niet volledig is gedownload. Ook is het mogelijk om zelf een torrent aan te maken en te seeden. Daarnaast kunnen bepaalde ip-adressen worden geweerd en kan met andere BitComet-gebruikers worden gechat. Donderdag is versie 1.26 van BitComet uitgekomen en hieronder is te vinden wat er in die release allemaal is veranderd.

Core Improve:
- The downloaded size in task statistical dialog when selecting multiple tasks is invalid

- In the global option dialog, the max value of cache size for each connection of HTTP download should be 2MB
- After torrent downloaded for Magnet URI, the hidden options in advanced page of task properties dialog is not shown right away
- The error message of failure to listen on UDP port is not accurate

- Using disk boost service to create large files when start downloading, to speed up disk operation, avoid UI no response (only Vista and later)
- Improve kernel to reduce CPU usage for UI refreshing when downloading BitTorrent task
