Firmware-update: D-Link DNS-323 1.08

D-Link heeft nieuwe firmware uitgebracht voor zijn DNS-323 opslagsystemen en hieraan 1.08 als het versienummer meegegeven. Deze nas-systemen bieden ruimte voor twee 3,5"-hdd's, die in een jbod-, raid-0- of raid-1-opstelling gebruikt worden. De meegeleverd lijst met veranderingen voor deze uitgave ziet er als volgt uit:

V1.08b01:

• Support Scandisk.
• Extends the Sender's address limitation to 63 chars.
• Support System Logging/FTP Logging.
• Support Widget.
• FTP Server support Hebrew codepag
• Support EXT3.
• User can assign shared folder of storing BT's torrents.
• Email Alert: Send email when rebuild is done.
• Email Alert: Send email when detect the degrade mode.
• Capable of sending logs by email.
• Support Apkg : new applications can be modulized and be installed to disk.

• BT can be uninstalled if it is installed via Apkg.

Mischien belangrijk om erbij te zetten dat dit beta firmware is.
Wacht zelf nog even tot de officiele uitkomt. Er zitten wel een aantal leuke dingen is deze.

Weet je dat wel zeker? Op de support pagina (uit de link) kom ik gewoon op 1.8 uit zonder beta vermeldingen..

/edit Zojuist upgrade uitgevoerd van versie 1.02 naar 1.08 zonder problemen en behoud van data.

Helaas weer geen snelheids verbeteringen voor data over Samba. Ik haal maar 10 tot 13 MBit over een Gigabit verbinding.

ik draai 1.08 al maaaanden zonder problemen (van de u.s. site in de beta directory)

Is inderdaad de laatste beta versie (beta 09). Lijkt wel bijna de echte release te worden.
Ik heb vanaf beta07 draaiende zonder echte problemen. Ik had alleen last van het feit dat de ventilator blijft draaien. Dat lijkt in deze versie opgelost.

Ik heb de oude configuratie instellingen teruggezet waar ik eerder een backup gemaakt van had, daar waren mijn problemen mee opgelost.

In jou geval komt dat omdat de DNS je foute hd heeft uitgeschakeld.
Als je die HD2 nu eens uitbouwt en in een gewone pc zet kijk eens of je daar de info kunt benaderen.

Ik heb problemen met het benaderen van de shares op de DNS-323 vanaf mijn laptop met Windows 7 Enterprise.

De DNS-323 is te zien in het netwerk, maar als ik en share probeer te mappen krijg ik foutmeldingen als "user not auhtorised", "cannot find network path" en "a network error occured". De problemen treden op bij zowel shares die voor iedereen toegankelijk zijn als bij shares die toegankelijk zijn voor specifieke gebruikers.

Vanaf Windows XP kan ik er gewoon bij.

Ik heb gisteren de upgrade naar 1.08 (beta 09) uitgevoerd.
Moest mijn oude instellingen (waar ik gelukkig een backup van had) terugzetten.
Hij was geheel vergeten hoe mijn schijven waren geconfigureerd.
En dat kan best een probleem zijn als ze als Backup bedoeld waren.

Verder geen problemen gebruik zowel Windows XP pro als Windows 7 met dit apparaat.

Ook ik heb de update van de link in mijn dns-323 gegooid.
Ik had er 2 Western Digital schijven in zitten a 1 TB (op RAID1).
Nu komt het log vandaag met hdd2-fail....
Als ik inlog in de DNS-323 zie ik dat het system niet meer op Raid1 draait, maar op standaard. Ik kan de inhoud ook niet meer benaderen, want in mijn netwerk is de dns-323 niet meer zichtbaar. Als ik 'm benader op zijn intern ip, dan kom ik alleen in de admin-pagina's. Lijkt dus op jouw probleem, dat ie z'n config kwijt is van de schijven.

Al mijn bestanden staan op die 2 schijven in RAID 1. Alleen ben ik bang, dat als ik nu de opdracht geef om RAID1 te activeren, ik alles kwijt raak.

Wat kan ik nu het beste doen?

Aanvulling: Mappen via de commandline gaat goed. Ook in Explorer is drive Z zichtbaar. Maar als ik vervolgens de gemapte drive probeer te benaderen krijg ik een network error.
