Miro is door de Participatory Culture Foundation voorzien van een update naar versie 2.5.3. Miro is kort samengevat een opensource cross-platform high-definition mediastreamer, downloader en player. Het programma bevat standaard een beperkt aantal kanalen, maar die zijn eenvoudig uit te breiden met eigen bronnen. Het is ook mogelijk gebruik te maken van de Miro Guide, waarin op dit moment ruim vijfduizend kanalen te vinden zijn.
