Afgelopen vrijdag is de finalrelease van versie 2.0 van KMess uitgebracht. Kmess is een Windows Live Messenger-client voor het Linux-platform die zich zonder problemen in KDE laat integreren. De belangrijkste veranderingen in versie 2.0 is de overgang naar versie 4 van KDE, ondersteuning voor emoticons en winks en de introductie van tabs in de chat-schermen. Verder is het serverprotocol gelijkgetrokken met versie 8.1 van Live Messenger. Webcammen kan nog steeds niet: dat staat voor versie 2.1 op de roadmap.
