Rainlendar is een programma waarmee het mogelijk is om een kalender op de desktop weer te geven. Het programma, dat beschikbaar is voor Windows, Linux en Mac OS X, is volledig naar eigen hand te zetten. Zo zijn de taal en het uiterlijk aan te passen, kan er een alarm gezet worden en kan er een to-do list worden bijgehouden. Rainlendar is beschikbaar in een gratis Lite-uitvoering en een betaalde Pro-versie. Die laatste geeft voor ongeveer tien euro ook de mogelijkheid om de kalender te delen en heeft ondersteuning voor synchronisatie met Outlook en Google Calendar. Zondag is met buildnummer 75 een nieuwe bètarelease van versie 2.5 van Rainlendar uitgekomen en hieronder is te vinden wat er in die release allemaal veranderd is:
Changes in this release:
- Alarm was calculated incorrectly for the weekly recurring all day events. Fixed.
- Alarm for some recurring Outlook events couldn't be dismissed. Fixed.
- "ignoredefault" doesn't ignore the default appearance anymore if it comes from other events.
- The alarm list is sorted by the start/due time.
- Setting remainder to 0 for text element disables the bitmap rotating.
- Priority items for todo lists can contain child items now too.
- Added color categories to the Shadow4 skin.
- Added search field to the advanced options. Both the property names and values are matched.
- The X-properties are removed from the exported ics file to make it more compatible with other calendar applications.
- Added context menus to event/task editors and the manager on Mac.
- Skin details window now displays the installed addons.
- Tasks written to RTM didn't preserve the due date. Fixed.
- Outlook alarms didn't work on some timezones. Fixed.
- Added API functions to edit the events/tasks from lua _script_s.
- Clicking the button in front of the tasks toggles the status between completed and needs action.
