De Participatory Culture Foundation heeft Miro voorzien van een update naar versie 2.0.2. Miro is kort samengevat een opensource cross-platform high-definition media streamer, downloader en player. Het programma bevat standaard een beperkt aantal kanalen, maar die zijn eenvoudig uit te breiden met eigen bronnen of door gebruik te maken van de Miro Guide, waar op dit moment ruim vijfduizend kanalen in te vinden zijn.
