Software-update: Cyberduck 3.1

Vandaag is versie 3.1 van Cyberduck uitgekomen. Dit programma, dat voor Mac OS X gemaakt is en onder gpl-licentie uitgebracht wordt, is een ftp-, sftp-, webdav-, Mosso Cloud- en Amazon S3-client. Het programma beschikt over een overzichtelijke interface en ondersteunt verschillende technieken zoals Spotlight, Bonjour, Keychain, Applescript en Growl. Daarnaast kan je gebruikmaken van verschillende reeds geïnstalleerde teksteditors waaronder Bbedit, Textwrangler, Textmate, Mi, Smultron en Cssedit. Cyberduck is in een groot aantal talen te gebruiken waaronder in het Nederlands. Hieronder is te vinden wat er in deze release allemaal veranderd is:

• Pre-configured protocol settings for MobileMe iDisk (WebDAV)
• Send arbitrary commands over SSH using the 'Send Command...' interface (SFTP)
• Archive and unarchive files and folders (ZIP, TAR etc.) (SFTP)
• Clickable URL fields
• Set quarantine attribute for launch services of downloaded files
• Finder displays URL of downloaded files in 'Where from' in 'Get Info' window
• Download folder in Dock bounces once when download finishes (10.5)
• Read IdentityFile setting from OpenSSH configuration in ~/.ssh/config (SFTP)
• Default transfer setting for regular expression of skipped files includes GIT and others
• Added QuickLook button to toolbar configuration
• Display Favicon for Web URL if available in bookmark window
• NTLM Authentication (WebDAV)

Bugs fixed

• Uploads fail with digest access authentication (WebDAV)
• Microsoft SharePoint interoperability (WebDAV)
• Manually sorting bookmarks using drag and drop works for the entire row
• Passwords stored in non default keychain are ignored

New in 3.1: Choose MobileMe iDisk as the connection type which prefills the configuration from your settings in the Mobile Me configuration panel in the System Preferences.

Ik moet zeggen dat ik voor FTP toch liefst Filezilla gebruik, die interface is voor mij echt het fijnst, en crossplatform, gebruik het op zowel mijn Windows-, Linux- als Applebak

Ieder het zijne natuurlijk, maar ik vind Filezilla helemaal niet zo fijn.

Weet iemand een ftp client voor Windows, die zijn local en remote vensters kan synchroniseren, zoals Dreamweaver dat doet? Dus dat de navigatiehandelingen die je lokaal doet ook remote worden uitgevoerd, als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel.

Voor de mensen die het programma nog niet kennen, het is een geweldig ftp programma.
eigenlijk toch wel een beetje jammer dat in osx enkel ftp als readonly is geïmplementeerd

edit:
met read only bedoel ik dat je met de finder ook ftp kan gebruiken, maar dan enkel kan lezen en niet kan schrijven naar een ftp server. Hierdoor gebruik ik ook CyberDuck
