Ritlabs heeft vandaag versie 4.0.28 van zijn e-mailprogramma The Bat! uitgebracht. Het programma biedt ondersteuning voor meerdere pop3- en imap4-accounts en heeft een Bayesian spamfilter en uitgebreide zoek- en filtermogelijkheden. The Bat is verkrijgbaar in de smaken Home en Professional Edition, waarbij studenten en nonprofitorganisaties korting op de aanschafprijs krijgen. Thuisgebruikers moeten zoals gebruikelijk ook nog hun International Pack bijwerken. Het verschil tussen de Pro- en Home-edities wordt op deze pagina nog eens uitgebreid uit de doeken gedaan. - Resolved various issues related to multiple monitors usage;
- Quick Templates are now stored in new format that properly supports Unicode character set;
- S/MIME and TLS protocols have been improved to support new certificate attributes and algorithms;
- Various improvements in the spell checker: there is a new “Check from cursor” menu command;
- Small fixes and improvements.
