Software-update: Adium X 1.2.6

Adium X is een instant messenger voor Mac OS X, die beschikbaar wordt gesteld onder de gpl-licentie. Via het programma is het mogelijk verbinding te maken met de netwerken van onder meer Jabber, ICQ, .NET Messenger Service en Bonjour. Dinsdag hebben de ontwikkelaars van Adium een nieuwe versie van het im-prorgamma uitgebracht. Het gaat dit keer om versie 1.2.6, die door op deze link als dmg-bestand voor Mac OS X gedownload kan worden. Hieronder kan gelezen worden welke veranderingen in Adium X 1.2.6 zijn doorgevoerd:

This just in! Adium 1.2.6 available less than 24 hours after an ICQ network upgrade rendered previous versions unable to connect. Credit goes to our good friends over at Pidgin for fixing libpurple, our mutual services library, so quickly. Libpurple 2.4.3 also fixes several issues with the Yahoo!, Yahoo! Japan, and QQ instant messaging services.

A few other bugs are fixed in Adium 1.2.6, too. A bug which has been around since Adium 0.50 which caused “Contact Came Back” to be displayed sometimes when contacts would sign off has finally been fixed - a single ! was in the wrong place! Also, one of the most common crashes in 1.2.x has been corrected, and message windows will once again remember their position on Mac OS X 10.4. Mooi, want ik had dat probleem met het ICQ netwerk.

dat is inderdaad mooi, gisteren werkte het inderdaad niet; super fijn dat icq nog niet dood verklaard is

icq wordt naar ik heb vernomen in vooral azie nog erg veel gebruikt.

Ik dacht dat Yahoo daar heel erg populair was, en icq/aim in amerika. Maar dat ze steeds meer naar aim gaan en steeds minder naar icq

maar een beta, die bij mij geregeld uitvalt.

Wel is de Beta leuker. Ze ondersteunen nu eindelijk Personal Messages in MSN; kan je weer kijken waar je vrienden naar luisteren

ik zie alleen nergens een optie staan om zelf de personal messages in te voeren nog, klopt dit? <- nevermind, je moet een nieuwe status aanmaken.

Same. Mooi snel opgelost.
Kwam er achter toen ik een reboot deed na het installeren van 10.5.4 van Mac OS X (staat er overigens geheel los van dus!)
