Software-update: Miranda IM 0.7.4

Op de Sourceforge-pagina van Miranda IM is een nieuwe versie van de instant messenger verschenen. Het gaat om versie 0.7.4, die vanaf deze pagina voor Windows gedownload kan worden. Miranda IM is een chatprogramma dat standaard met de netwerken van AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber en irc verbinding kan maken. Meer netwerken en functionaliteit zijn met behulp van plugins toe te voegen, zoals een spamfilter, extra configuratiemogelijkheden, integratie met andere software en het aanpassen van de interface. Miranda IM 0.7.4 wordt geleverd met de volgende veranderingen:

Sinds kort een enthousiaste gebruiker van Miranda, het doet eigenlijk alles wat ik wil van een IM client op het moment.

Met alle plugins kan je het programma zo maken zoals jij het wilt. Zijn de problemen met de website eigenlijk opgelost?

Voor wie het configgen te lang duurt of te ingewikkeld is kan ook op inet een preconfigged modded miranda downloaden.

Gebruik MSN niet dagelijks, maar een erg fijn programma wat inderdaad gewoon doet wat het moet doen (meestal dan ).

Ideaal omdat het ook werkt vanaf een USB-stick en daarbij ook de 'database' op de stick zet zodat je geen logs oid achterlaat op de gastcomputer. Erg fijn op het werk.

Tevens zo in te stellen/skinnen dat het ook nog eens vele malen minder plaats inneemt op je desktop dan bijvoorbeeld WLM wat bijna de helft van je beeldscherm in beslag neemt.

Ik test zelf de testbuilds van 0.80 tak en die bevalt me prima, nooit crashes of incompatible plugins.

Nou lekker is dat, mijn avatar displayen werkt niet en custom smilies ontvang ik ook niet

Custom smilies werkt niet, omdat Microsoft hier patenten op heeft. Ze worden wel ontvangen (als plaatje) maar niet direct getoond.
