Software-update: xine 1.1.9.1

Xine is een opensource multimediaspeler voor GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, Irix en Mac OS X. Men is daarnaast bezig om ondersteuning toe te voegen voor Windows, HPUX, OpenBSD en OS/2. Xine kan cd's, dvd's en vcd's afspelen, lust avi-, mov-, wmv-, en mp3-bestanden en ook multimediastreams van het internet vormen geen enkel probleem om af te spelen. Versie 1.1.9.1 is sinds kort beschikbaar met de volgende aankondiging:

A new xine-lib version is now available. This release contains a security fix (CVE-2008-0225). It also contains a read-past-end fix for an internal library function which is only used if the OS does not supply it and a rendering fix for Darwin/PPC.

• Security fixes: Fix a buffer overflow in RTSP header-handling code. (CVE-2008-0225)
• Fix a read-past-end bug in xine-lib's internal strtok_r replacement. (Only affects systems without strtok_r.)
• Fix a bug which causes video playback display errors on PPC/Darwin.
