Op de site van DivX Labs heeft vooghel de tweede bètaversie van DivX Player voor Mac OS X gespot. Deze versie heet voluit DivX Player 2.0 for Mac beta 2 en door op deze link te klikken gedownload worden als dmg-imagebestand. Het programma kan diverse mediaformaten afspelen met in het bijzonder het eigen DivX-formaat. Deze tweede bèta is gecompileerd als Universal Binary - wat inhoudt dat DivX Player native gedraaid kan worden op PowerPC- en Intel-Macs - en is voorzien van Engelse, Franse, Duitse en Japanse taalpakketten:
