Apple heeft na zijn keynote op MacWorld een nieuwe versie online gezet van QuickTime, te weten 7.0.4. QuickTime is de mediaspeler van Apple en kan diverse audio- en mediabestanden afspelen. Het programma wordt standaard meegeleverd bij het besturingssysteem Mac OS X, maar wordt ook beschikbaar gesteld voor het Windows-platform. Deze nieuwbakken versie van het programma kan gedownload worden voor Mac OS X zelf, maar ook voor Windows. In QuickTime 7.0.4 zijn een aantal veranderingen doorgevoerd waaronder de ondersteuning van iLife '06. Daarnaast zijn er performance tweaks aangebracht aan de h.264-afhandeling en acht kritieke bugs uit de programmatuur gehaald.
