New in this release:[break]
- Updated database to support MySQL 5.0.
- Optimized indexes for MySQL databases for improved performance.
- Fixed the "Use Message-ID instead of article index" setting being ignored by the server connection threads.
- Added an icon to the status bar to show when the attachment processing thread is running.
- Added decoding of KOI8, UTF-8 and BIG5 encoded headers.
- Added decoding of MIME-encoded (Base64) text messages.
- Added automatic character set switching in the Message Viewer.
- Modified the NZB Import window to automatically prefill the Auto-Save destination folder when NZB folder monitoring is enabled.
- Added the ability to override the current character set per Workgroup.
- Changed "Collapse Current Thread" to collapse the entire thread, not just the current branch.
- Enabled the "Save->NZB File" feature for previously imported headers.
- Separated "Mark Keep" and "Mark Interesting" options when using Automation Rules.
- Separated "Keep" status toggle into two separate commands: Mark->Keep (shortcut "K") and Mark->Clear Keep (shortcut "SHIFT-K")
- Added the ability to specify an auto-save folder for an Automation Rule.
- Added an option on the shutdown dialog to have NMP purge the Trash folder when shutting down. This option can also be enabled by adding -purgeonexit to your Newsman Pro shortcut command-line.
- Added a new command-line option: -autoquitwhenidle Works like the -quitwhenidle option, but is automatic.
- Added an option to use the full subject when sorting by subject in the message list. By default, Newsman Pro ignores any non-alpha characters to the left of the first alpha character.
- Added an option to customize the way Par2 volume files are processed. Using this option, you can now have Par2 volume files be added to the Queue in "hold" status, or have them completely skipped. This special processing is applied when queuing messages in the following scenarios:
- Volumes contained in a collapsed "group" container
- Volumes contained in an expanded "group" container when the group container (top-most) message is selected.
- Volumes contained in an NZB file that is auto-queued
- Volumes matching an Automation Rule with the "download" action
- Volumes in a folder or group that is being Auto-Queued by a Scheduled Task or when using the manual Auto-Queue feature
- Added a Workgroup setting to automatically expand all threads.
- Fixed Workgroup display when new headers are received for MS-SQL users.
- Improved header retrieval processing for servers that return unreliable XOVER hi/low article index numbers.
