Er is een update voor versie 4.00 van de mediaspeler AIMP verschenen. Deze gratis lichtgewichtmediaspeler van Russische makelij heeft ondersteuning voor de populairste muziekformaten. Het uiterlijk heeft wat weg van het bekende Winamp en is door middel van skins aan te passen. AIMP heeft een 18-kanaalsequalizer aan boord en ondersteunt plug-ins. Verder kan het programma cd's rippen, muziekbestanden converteren en tags bewerken. In versie 4.0 heeft AIMP onder meer een nieuw uiterlijk gekregen en is ondersteuning voor Windows XP komen te vervallen. In deze update zijn verder nog de volgende verbeteringen aangebracht:

- Skin Engine - localizations for custom context menus was not refreshed in real-time
- Skin Engine - hint in music library table / playlist blinks when running under Windows 7 if desktop composition is disabled
- Skin Engine - window content was not refreshed after changing the element placement from script
- Music Library - import data base from AIMP3 - files from network locations cannot be imported
- Music Library - the "find in Music Library" command does not work if the "no grouping" mode is selected
- Music Library - playback accounting works incorrectly if playback speed different from default value
- Small bugs were fixed
