Tyan Trinity K7 S2380 review

Anand schreef een review van de Tyan Trinity K7 S2380, een Slot-A moederbord gebaseerd op de KX133 chipset met 6xPCI, 1xISA, 1xAGP, 3xDIMM en geen AMR slot. Verder is de Trinity K7 S2380 gebaseerd op VIA's reference design en biedt het helaas geen FSB snelheden boven de 100MHz. Qua stabiliteit haalt dit plankje het ook niet het niveau van de Asus K7V, die tot nu toe nog steeds de beste KX133 oplossing is:

The S2380's major offering is the 6 PCI slots that the board holds over the competition. If you truly need that extra 6th PCI slot, then the S2380 is a perfectly fine option.

The board itself is just about on-par with the AOpen AK72 and EPoX 7KXA that we reviewed in the past while still falling behind the ASUS K7V-RM in terms of stability, so while it is above average, it's still not as stable as we would expect for a higher end system that relies on stability.

Overall, the board isn't the best, but then again, it's not going to be Tyan's flagship Athlon product for long, the real winner will be their upcoming dual board. Until then, there are better options out there.

Weg met de p3 mobo's. Hebben maar 3 dimm gleufjes, en lage fsb. BOEEEHOEEE.

Wat wou jij doen met 4 dimm gleufjes, 1 gb aan geheugen daarin zetten, heb je geld over of zo, ik kan wel mn bankrekeningnummer geven ofzo?

Enne, er zijn genoeg goeie P3 mobo's niet dat ik fan ben van intel processors ofzo maar, kijk eens naar een andere posting van vandaag, staat dat soyo moederbordje, heeft aardig wat fsb frequenties.

Dit is idd wel een fijn mobo'tje als je perse 6 pci slotjes wilt hebben, maar zoals ze bij anandtech zeggen, dat dual mobo'tje is iets om naar uit te kijken
