Ever hanker for some more tweaking that your BIOS allows? Well, I've been hearing a few good reports of a couple of interesting programs that allow to to change your FSB speed from within Windows. I've heard a few reports that this will allow people to run at say 124Mhz, when normally their hard drives can't handle this boot process! The solution - whack up your FSB after boot. Does'nt help for me but I thought I'd pass it on...
Klinkt onwaarschijnlijk maar zou fantastisch zijn als het werkt. Een ander proggie kan ook je L2 latency aanpassen:
The second toy allows you to change your Level 2 cache latency. Apparently some people managed to get their SL2W8's running at 504 by moving the latency up to around 8. The loss of performance is outweighed by the gain from 450Mhz to 504Mhz. I've tried both and they don't seem to do a lot of good, but no harm either so they may be worth a trip. The readme's seem to be in Japanese, but they are pretty easy to work :) You can go to the Home Page of these apps. here!
