GamePC heef een review online geplant van de Sony GDM-F500R, een 21" Trinitron monitor met een .22mm Aperture Grill en een maximale resolutie van 2048 x 1536 @ 75 Hz. Hieronder wat meer info:
To this day, every monitor has some form or other to configure the monitor’s screen display. Whether it is for brightness, contrast, or just screen adjustments. Well taking a look at the F500R’s OSD (on screen controls), it certainly contradicts the old saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. Taking the original mouse control we saw on the G500, the F500R takes it one more step. Since the F500R is the new flagship, wouldn’t you know it, it possesses something unique over all the other Sony monitors. Rather then having the ball like controller found on the G500, the F500R uses a joystick type controller to navigate through menus. Overall, we would have to say the new controller is a lot easier to use. We have to admit; the G500’s controller often caused some mistakes during the adjustments mainly because it was so touchy. But with the new joystick type controller, many of the common mistakes we experienced before were virtually eliminated.
