C300a is fading fast so what to do? My $.02: If you're looking to upgrade an existing system, go for the C400a - At a minimum 400, 6x75 almost guaranteed and a good shot at 6x83; rarely 6x100 even with extraordinary measures. Building new - Go for the new ABIT BX6-2 and the C400a slot version - ABIT has tamed the PCI bus so 75 and 83 can be had without PCI overclocking. Buying a socket board for the socketed versions traps you long term into the socket world - future slot 1 products are out of reach.Short on cash? C366a. Other options? Still love the Deschutes PIIs - particularly PII300 SL2W8 @450 and long shot PII333 SL2WY @500 - unfortunately discontinued. Outlook? If Intel does not buslock, overclocking is heading for speeds in the 500-800 Mhz regions - WOW!
