Well, it is quite nice increase in performance, especially in Quake 3. Idiot has this very interesting theory: it seems that applications with low memory bandwidth demand profit much more from Super Bypass than streaming applications. In other words, applications that find their instructions mostly in the L2 and L1-cache benefit much more than high memory bandwidth applications like Photoshop for example. I, for one, believe he got a good point.
