My impression from talking to one of the engineers at Intel was that it will be named the Pentium IV as you stated. I don't know whether he knew that for sure, but he said something offhand like "why stop a good thing, after all?" or something like that. Anyway, a couple of other important Willamette points: the project has been going since at least sometime in 1997, probably earlier. This suprised me -- but the P7 project was never shelved in anticipation of IA-64 as some have speculated...
