Techweb heeft een artikel in elkaar geklust over de Comdex presentatie van Sun stamhoofd Scott McNealy (zie ook deze nieuwsposting van eerder vandaag). De goede man blijkt over een leuke dosis humor te beschikken :
McNealy, outspoken in his criticism of Microsoft, opened his talk with a magician pulling a Windows box from a mix of scarves and opening it to expose a Monopoly game. To the tune of breaking up is hard to do, a facade of the Las Vegas strip crashed down."I guess Windows can bring a whole city down," McNealy said.
If Gates bought 20 percent of Las Vegas, the favorite game would change to Monopoly, he quipped.
McNealy, who called Microsoft "incorrigible monopolists," said Windows 2000 and Office 2000 will be far bigger disasters than Y2K.
Lampooning the opening of Microsoft chairman and CEO's Bill Gates' keynote on Sunday night, at which Gates asked if anyone had heard any good lawyer jokes, McNealy asked the packed ballroom if anyone had "heard any good monopolist jokes."
