Installing Red Hat Linux 5.2
While Linux is a powerful and versatile operating system, it is purportedly a major undertaking to install and configure. When I began to delve into the possibility of dealing with super7 hardware issues and Linux, I followed a few Linux newsgroups for a few weeks and was not at all suprised to observe that seven out of ten postings were pleas for assistance either with installing the OS or configuring hardware works correctly with the system. After perusing several of the postings I was nearly ready to bag the idea, concluding that it would just be too time consuming and difficult to contend with, but I reluctantly forged ahead, posting to a few of the newsgroups as a total incompetent in need of assistance determining which of the many distributions of Linux I should obtain to meet my needs.
