Bij Overclockin.com hebben ze een Athlon 500 succesvol op 800MHz draaien. De Processor was al aangepast door Trinity Micro, maar zelf heeft hij nog de voltage van 1.60V naar 1.80V gezet en de cache speed verlaagd naar 1/3 ipv 1/2. Check deze page voor alle details.
I knew you guys would want to get this info, so I thought I'd throw something quick together. As you can tell from the title of this article, this is one screaming processor. It is by far the fastest processor I have tested to date. I have a Celeron 300a and a PIII-450 that will hit the 600MHz (and that is extremely impressive in itself) but this beats those processors by a full 200MHz!! To get the processor to run at 800MHz, I had to make a couple of adjustments. The voltage was bumped up to 1.80V from the stock 1.60V and I changed the cache speed from the normal 1/2 clock speed to a 1/3 clock speed setting. At 800MHz that would mean that the cache is running at approx. 266MHz.
