Anyone who has ever dealt with Windows NT as a server can attest to the fact that its reboots are numerous and slow, especially when there are applications running. So, I thought, this would be a great idea for a contest.I want you to send me the slowest documented reboot time for any NT servers you have to deal with.
When submitting, time your warm-reboot from the moment you select "yes" to reboot the server to the point where the desktop is up, with nothing further to load (no hourglass). Login times are included, but cold-boots are not.
This contest starts on October 26th and ends on November 26th with the winner taking home a one-off Nerdperfect t-shirt, and heartfelt pity.
